CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
1 DAY INTRO CLASS (scheduled upon request)
Experiential class for healing enthusiasts and health and wellness professionals. Learn the fundamental of this unique modality and experience receiving and practicing techniques to balance the nervous system, reduce pain in back and neck and ease breathing difficulties. This class is a well rounded introduction to Bowenwork®. Everyone leaves feeling better and has a few new tools to share with friends and family. This class is primarily a hands-on class. We work through clothing. Please hydrate. We will be receiving work and our bodies will be integrating change and eliminating cell waste. This class is for: massage therapists, nurses, caregivers, athletes, and heath enthusiasts.

PRACTITIONER CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
Become a Professional Bowenwork Practitioner with the American Bowen Academy. Our lineage is a direct line to Tom Bowen, from Geelong, Australia, via Oswald Rentsch. The American Bowen Academy and the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia are dedicated to the highest quality of Tom Bowen's original and incredible works.

PRACTITIONER CERTIFICATION TRAINING
MODULES 1-7 (CA, Hawaii, Nevada)
Professional Bowenwork practitioner training programs begin each fall in San Francisco Bay Area (CA) and The Big Island of Hawaii. Please contact Terra to reserve a spot. There are limited openings. Classes are small and intensive with ample hangs-on support and individual guidance.
Modules 1-6 provide the initial body of knowledge for becoming a Bowenwork practitioner certified by the American Bowen Academy. The duration of study is approximately nine months to complete depending on availability of module courses and individual participation.
Module 7 is a two day exam. An exemplary proficient understanding and use of the modality along with supplemental Academy requirements results in certification from the American Bowen Academy. Your life, fascination and front row seat with the body's genius will continue to grow and refine every day thereafter.
CEU's: Completion of each module training gives students 16 continuing education units for:
- National Certification Board for Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB)
- American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
- California Board of Registered Nursing
- Oregon Board of Naturopathic Medicine
PROFESSIONAL BOWENWORK PRACTITIONER - LEVEL 1: 380 HOUR PROGRAM
PROFESSIONAL BOWENWORK PRACTITIONER - 500 HOUR: 500 HOUR PROGRAM
LEVEL 1: 370 hours
212 hours of Bowenwork theory and practice (class contact hours, 10 case studies, and 50 hours non-class practice hours)
120 hours of anatomy and physiology
20 hours of business and ethics
6 hours of workplace hygiene, health & safety
8 hours bodywork ethics
4 hours CPR certification
* to maintain good standing with American Bowen Academy, there are 32 hours of continuing education required every two years.
TUITION:
Module 1-6 $480 each module/ $450 early registration (if paid in full at least 30 days prior to class)
Module 7 $530/ $500 early registration
Total Tuition, Modules 1-7: $3,410 (or $3,200 with early registrations)
Remaining required coursework is priced separately.
ABA Registration: $95 registration fee required at Module 1, in addition to tuition. Annual renewal of $50 there after.
DEPOSITS & CANCELLATION:
$150 Deposit required at registration for each module. Deposits are refundable up to 30 prior to class if cancelled by student and 100% refundable if the class is cancelled by the instructor. If student cancels within 30 days of class, amount paid may be applied to future class with the same instructor within one year of original cancellation.
